VincentBenjamin GiVBack Program
Vincent Benjamin

The VincentBenjamin giVBack Program is a companywide initiative to support our communities and those less fortunate and provides a powerful example of volunteerism to our close networks, clients and collogues.

The VincentBenjamin giVBack Program is the perfect complement to our company culture and gives our team a way to interact in a totally authentic way. During giVBack events, we are human beings simply sharing a passion for helping others. The events not only make an impact in our communities but also brings us together as individuals from different backgrounds and life experiences.

Each quarter, each of our four offices selects and participates in a volunteer effort that supports a theme.

2017 First Quarter Theme
“Fighting Hunger”

According to dosomething.org, the U.S. has some pretty staggering statics that is a compelling reason to take action!

Did you know:

  • 49 million Americans struggle to put food on the table.
  • 1 in 6 people in America face hunger every day
  • In the US, hunger isn’t caused by a lack of food, but rather the continued prevalence of poverty.
  • Nearly half of the 1 in 7 people enrolled in Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) are children.
  • 40% of food is thrown out in the US every year, or about $165 billion worth. All of this uneaten food could feed 25 million Americans.

Before you scroll down to see the pictures, we ask our readers to take a moment to reflect on the above stats. Imagine having to function at school or work not knowing if you will eat on any given day. Imagine the hardship of having to tell your children there is no food for dinner or breakfast.

This is exactly why the VincentBenjamin giVBack Program is so important to our corporate culture and to our communities. We know that true success comes from reaching out and supporting others. We encourage you; our corporate clients, our candidates, our personal networks and every member of the VincentBenjamin team, to put a volunteerism/give-back structure in place for yourself and for your businesses. The rewards will far exceed your expectations, we promise!

The Incredible Edible Farm

Volunteers are the heart and soul of Second Harvest. You bring our mission to life and make up the equivalent of approximately 40% of our workforce – we cannot accomplish our mission without you! Help us in our mission to end hunger in Orange County by planting and harvesting fresh produce, or assisting in farm maintenance. All produce is distributed to individuals and families in need in Orange County.

Westside Food Bank’s mission is to distribute as much food as possible to local agencies with food assistance programs and to reduce food waste on the Westside of Los Angeles County. As the food bank warehouse for the Westside since 1981, we annually distribute 4.5 million pounds of food to over 70 local social service agencies. We do not distribute food directly to individuals, only to agencies.

Feed My Starving Children

Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) has tackled world hunger since 1987.  These meals are specifically designed to reverse and prevent malnutrition and are used in schools, orphanages, clinics and feeding programs to break the cycle of poverty.  Your volunteer event allows us to provide 42,120 meals for kids in need: that means 115 kids will now be fed for an entire year.  Thank you for sharing our mission and for helping us bring hope to these precious children!

Metro Caring

We serve about 100 families a day, so around 50 households benefited from the volunteer event. Our average cart weight is around 80 lbs, so we can guess that while you all volunteered, 4000 lbs of food found its way home with hungry families. We know that we give out about 1.9 million meals last year, based on the USDA’s statement of 1.2 pounds equating to a meal and our yearly donations totally 2.3 million.
